The Maasai Mara can be visited throughout the year, but July to October is the prime window for witnessing the Great Wildebeest Migration, when herds cross the Mara River in search of fresh grazing.
The exact timing and location of the migration changes each year depending on rainfall patterns, so sightings and river crossings cannot be guaranteed.
