This safari is perfect for families, couples, and small groups who want a genuine Big Five experience combined with conservation-focused wildlife encounters — all with the flexibility and exclusivity of your own private vehicle and driver-guide.

Located on the equator in Laikipia County, Ol Pejeta offers excellent game viewing at a shorter drive from Nairobi than the Maasai Mara, making it ideal for travelers with limited time who still want a full wilderness experience.

ACCOMMODATION SUMMARY

Ol Pejeta Conservancy: Camp/lodge — 2 nights

Accommodation is arranged in comfortable camps or lodges within or near the conservancy, providing a convenient base for game drives and sanctuary visits. Specific properties are confirmed based on availability and your chosen comfort level at the time of booking.

OPTIONAL EXPERIENCES

1.Night Game Drive

Add a night game drive at Ol Pejeta to spot nocturnal wildlife such as leopards, hyenas, and aardvarks, at an additional cost.

2.Horseback or Camel Safari

Ol Pejeta offers guided horseback and camel rides for an alternative way to experience the conservancy, subject to availability.

3.Additional Nairobi Accommodation

Need accommodation before or after your safari? We can help arrange additional nights in Nairobi.

BEST TIME TO VISIT

Ol Pejeta Conservancy can be visited throughout the year, and wildlife is resident rather than migratory, so good sightings are possible in any season.

Dry seasons (June–October and January–February) generally offer easier game viewing, as wildlife congregates around waterholes and vegetation is lower.

March to May and November are wetter months, bringing lush scenery and excellent birdlife, though some roads may be more challenging.
